Um. I got this thing...

Granted, it was an Honorable Mention, but I'm still a bit stunned at this win.

The top three singers in the contest were: a lady from far far away with the longest song I'd heard in that contest, with admirable pronunciation, range, and expressiveness; a young lady whose (not who's) costume and song made her cheerfulness shine through; and a young man with laudable persistence (dang, four years?) and an exciting, trophy-winning performance. To everyone who got up on stage to sing, competitors and otherwise, the willingness to do that is difficult enough to find. Good on you.

I'm just glad I left the preceding event when I did. Wouldn't have done to miss this.
